Sohrab Gollogly, MD
Practice update: Monday April 21, 2025
Thank you for visiting. As we open this next chapter in spine care delivery, we’re grateful for your interest and your patience. We are actively seeing patients—both virtually and in person—and building a new kind of spine surgery practice designed to offer personalized, expedited, and highly specialized care without long delays.
A New Standard in Spine Care
Dr. Gollogly is the only surgeon in the region performing full endoscopic spine surgery—the most minimally invasive surgical option available for herniated discs and spinal stenosis. He was also the first surgeon on the West Coast to perform over 1,000 of these procedures, combining technical precision with outpatient efficiency and rapid recovery protocols.
Our new private practice is designed around digital triage, rapid MRI review, and thoughtful consultation, with the goal of letting you know within 48 hours whether we can help.

About the Transition
Dr. Gollogly previously served as a spine surgeon at Monterey Spine & Joint (MSJ). As of 2025, MSJ is in the process of being acquired by Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP). Rather than becoming a hospital employee, Dr. Gollogly has chosen to remain independent to continue doing what he does best—providing high-touch, high-tech outpatient endoscopic spine surgery in a private, out-of-network setting.
This transition has given us a new level of flexibility to focus entirely on timely access, surgical excellence, and compassionate communication.
Insurance & Billing
We are a private, out-of-network practice. While we do not bill insurance directly, we provide a detailed invoice that patients may submit to their insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. Many patients receive 50–80% reimbursement, depending on their plan. We will also obtain pre-authorization for the facility fees (hospital or ASC), even if our surgical fee is billed separately.
Questions or Follow-Up Needs?
If you have a non-emergent issue, please text us at (831) 200-3544 and let us know how we can help. This number is monitored during the transition, and we will respond as promptly as possible.
We appreciate your trust and support as we build a more responsive, focused, and patient-centered spine surgery practice.
