I have been diagnosed with CM and reversal of cervical curvature. I have other problems including a large bulging disk at c4-c5. It’s noted to abut the cord anteriorly and there is a relative paucity of CSF surrounding the cord with mild cord compression. In my lumbar I have facet hypertrophy, lumbar rediculothopy. I have trouble walking, and my hands and feet have some numbness and weird feeling. This has been going on for 4 months now. I’m worried my conditions could be permanent and I’m scared to have surgery. Are there other options like therapy that could help me.

I am scheduled for a second lumbar fusion to occur on the 16th of March. They are saying I have adjacent joint movement that occurs in 10% of fusion patients.

My first fusion was l4 l5 and s1. This current bout of pain is different. It is nerve pain. I cannot stand for more than a few minutes and walking is unbearable. I am of small athletic frame. I am active and have a steady workout routine. However, over the past few months, I have been unable to make it to the gym for training.

I had begun massage and accupuncture over six months ago undergoing more than 20 accupuncture sessions. It actually made it worse by aggravating the sciatic nerve. My current MRI report shows a 4mm slippage at L3 l4. I could send you the report if you are willing to give me some feedback. Thank you.
